Ali Kowalsky, Owner & Director

Hi, my name is Ali. At A-Pod I’m known as “Atomic Ali,” for my love of science, explosive energy, and enthusiasm for teaching.

My career in education began in 1998 in the NYC Public Schools. I taught physics, biology and chemistry for 14 years in NYC, and 1 year in Beijing, China. In Steamboat I taught at CMC, and now I am teaching 7th grade math and science at SBS Middle School.

I have a Bachelor’s in Biology, a Master’s in STEM Education, and a Master’s in Molecular Biology.

I speak Spanish and Hebrew. I read and write in both of these languages. In my free time, I enjoy skiing, MTB, tennis, and fun times with friends and family.

I currently reside in Steamboat Springs, CO. I created A-Pod as a place where science and community meet. Come check us out and see what we are all about.

The funniest dog around. A-Pod’s very own mascot. Chewy enhances our fun and relaxed environment. Named after the infamous Rae Grossman, whose light and love continue to shine down on us.
